Standard Registration For All Events Is Still Open
The Cabela’s Masters Walleye Circuit, now under the ownership of The Walleye Federation (TWF), announced today early bird Premier Team registrations are up 25% over the record setting numbers of 2012. Premier Team registration closed February 15.
“Last year, before we acquired the Cabela’s Masters Walleye Circuit, MWC had an all-time high on premier teams and total entries into all events combined as far back as I can find records,” Said, Robert Cartlidge with TWF. “The MWC staff did an excellent job of laying a great foundation. Naturally, we’re very pleased with how the anglers are responding and signing up.
If the early bird Premier Team registration is any indication, we should see numbers up across all events.” Cartlidge continued. “We want to thank all the anglers for that. As anglers ourselves, we understand that with any circuit or trail it’s all about the anglers; it all starts with them and they are the reason we do what we do.”
Registration is still open for all 2013 MWC events and will remain open until the Sunday before each event; however, as noted early bird Premier Team registration has closed. Premier Team registration numbers are up 25% from 94 premier teams in 2012 to 117 premier teams in 2013.
While there’s a long list of benefits to signing up as a premier team, including slightly better odds of making the championship and other premier team perks, which reward anglers who sign up early each year for at least three events. Premier team status is certainly not required to compete or be competitive on the Cabela’s Masters Walleye Circuit.
Anyone can sign up for the Cabela’s Masters Walleye Circuit and all anglers have the opportunity to qualify for the $100,000 2013 World Walleye Championship because the only way to get there is to qualify by catching fish.
