The Nebraska Walleye Association hosted the Big Mac Shut Up and Fish Tournament June 11-12 . Sixty-three boats fished both days and brought in over 400 fish to the scales, most of which were released. The largest walleye was 10.22 pounds; it was brought to the scales by the Sanger/Zimmerman team.
The first place team of Paul/Woerth had 33.48 pounds. Coming in second, was the team of Sanger/Zimmerman with 31.62 pounds. In third, was Roland/Roland with 26.06 pounds.
Fish were mostly caught at the west end of the lake in 5 to 20 feet of water. Some anglers were using spinner rigs with crawlers while others were pulling crank baits. Most teams weighed in their five fish limits and had great days out on the water proving yet again, Mac remains the best lake in the area.
