2020 CEDAR RAPIDS & IOWA CITY/CRANDIC WALLEYE CLUB SEASON
The Cedar Rapids & Iowa City Walleye Club completed it’s inaugural season. Due to the COVID-19 situation and Iowa DNR restrictions on tournaments the club was only able to conduct 1 of 4 scheduled tournaments.
The May 31st event on Pleasant Creek Lake was won by the husband/wife team of Steve & Becky Miller followed by Roger Abel/Brad Bussewitz and Gary Speicher/Dan Goiffon. With 37 members and 20 Federation members the club joined in with the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Corridor to conduct their 20th annual Fish-O-Rama event in a virtual format this year. The club also teamed with the Iowa DNR for the “Try It Tuesdays” program that was limited due to COVID restrictions.
The club is looking forward to a full slate of tourney events in 2021, continued growth and competition within The Walleye Federation.
