BOARDMAN, OH – Walleye Madness Tournaments (WMT) will be holding a youth walleye fishing event on Berlin Lake in north east Ohio. Scheduled on June 30th from 7am to 2pm, Walleye Heroes will be a no entry fee, pro/am style tournament featuring experienced tournament walleye anglers fishing with two youth co-anglers in a fun and fishing education focused environment.
The youth co-anglers will include young people from On Target Outfitters, a non-profit youth outdoors group based in Canfield, Ohio.“The kids in our outdoors programs are really excited about the Walleye Heroes event” states Steve Scott, Founder and Director of On Target Outfitters. He

adds, “Our friendship with Walleye Madness Tournaments will allow our kids to get some great hands on walleye fishing experience.”
Walleye Madness Tournaments and the Walleye Heroes youth event are sponsored by Buckeye Sports Center, Lund Boats and Mercury Marine. Additional Walleye Heroes event sponsors include Okuma Fishing, Traxstech, Reef Runner Fishing Lures, Smack Tackle and Church Tackle Co.
