The Bay De Noc Walleye Club announces the results for the annual Bay’s De Noc Wal Mart Classic that took place on August 11th. Calmer lake conditions made the bite a little more difficult, however several teams made their way to the stage with big walleye’s, the largest weighing over 9 pounds. The point race heated up for the NTC spots with one event to go. Eleven of the 16 teams were eligible for the NTC spots. In first place was the team Alimenti & Martin with 15.5 pounds. Second place team Cassidy & Corbett weighed 14.5 pounds. The third place team of Neubauer & Tourangeau weighed 14.15 pounds. In 4th place former NTC champs Carol & Glenn Chenier weighed 13.7 pounds. In 5th place team Porath & Hanisko weighed 11.85 pounds. In 6th place team Schram & Schram weighed two fish totaling 11.55 pounds. Team Koprash & Parker came in 7th with 9.35 pounds. Team Houghton & Houghton finished 8th with 7.3 pounds. Team Plourde & Jack placed 9th with 6.5 pounds. Former NTC champion Joe Manns and Larson weighed 4.35 pounds for 10th place. Team Gartland & Kallio finished 11th with 2.45 pounds. The remainder of the field zero’d; Kositzky/Anderson, Haney/Bourdeau, Anderson/Kallio, Wery/Wilson, and Sliva/Sliva. The next NTC qualifier the Cliff D’Arcy Memorial Walleye Tournament is scheduled for Sunday September 8th at the North Shore Boat Launch in Escanaba, Mi.
