The Bay De Noc Great Lakes Sportfishermen Club (Bay De Noc Walleye Club) announce the results of the final club walleye event in 2016.
A point race for the final standings were under way on Saturday September 10th for the annual Cliff D’Arcy Memorial (Last Chance) walleye tournament out of Cedar River, Mi. Several teams were tied heading out on the Bay of Green Bay where every fish would count. A major cold front with winds and rain put the brakes on the walleye bite, but teams managed to figure it out and put fish in the box. Team Ben Spriks and Bryant Dault came to the weigh in with 17.4 Lbs to claim victory. The team of Jerry Plourde and Charlie Jack came in a close second with 16.13 Lbs and captured the top spot in the point standings and claimed team of the year honors. The event was also a NTC qualifier for next year’s Lake Erie event. Total results were as follows:
