The 2013 Ohio Walleye Federation Inland Lake championship was a two day combined weight tournament held on two different lakes, Lake Milton-Day 1 and Mosquito Lake-Day 2. Teams were greeted with a developing summer pattern bite and very windy conditions during the tournament. The team of Jon Siembor and Keith Whitlatch took top honors with a combined weight total of 23.22lbs edging out the second place team of Jim Gwynn and Matthew Whitacre by .14lbs. Siembor and Whitlatch caught their winning fish by trolling shad raps at Lake Milton in 9-15ft of water and trolling worm harnesses in 15-20ft of water at Mosquito Lake. At Lake Milton the field was split between anglers trolling cranks in open water and jigging worms near shoreline structure. A similar pattern developed at Mosquito Lake with half the field trolling worm harnesses and cranks in 13-20ft of water, some targeting suspended fish while others were using leadcore near the bottom. The other half of the field focused on targeting developing weed beds in 3-7ft of water using jigs and worms.
