AUGUST 25, 2012—SAULT STE. MARIE, MI—Brothers Joe and John Giuliani notched an impressive repeat victory at the Cabela’s Masters Walleye Circuit’s St. Mary’s River tournament.
The hard-fishing twins, from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, weighed in nine fish weighing a total of 36.74 pounds to top the field of 62 two-person teams competing in the two-day event. The win earned them the $11,100 first-place cash purse, plus $1,000 Cabela’s gift ca
rd from the Cabela’s Angler Cash program, $500 Lowrance HDS Bonus, $500 in Berkley products for being the highest-finishing team using Berkley Baits, and U2 Bonus worth $60 in U2 product. e Erie was the playing field for Walleye Madness Tournaments inaugural event on August 18th. With a respectable turnout of 29 teams, the stage was set for what would turn out to be an impressive tournament. The weather conditions on the lake were favorable and the competitor’s expectations for big catches were high as they motored out to the lake from the ARU launch in Ashtabula, Ohio.
