World Walleye Association Releases 2013 Illinois Division Team of the Year Winners
Hawthorn Woods, IL –October 7, 2013
World Walleye Association (WWA)held its fifth and final Illinois qualifying tournament Sunday October 6th. The team of Jason Ramano, Tony Klepacki and Jerry Ubanozo took top honors with a six fish basket of 8.30 lbs. The bite was tough with a changing weather pattern and a cold front that rolled through the evening prior to the qualifier.The team of Jason, Tony and Jerry is no stranger to the top of the leader board as they finished in one of the top six positions all year, including two third places and a first place. Their finishes this year put them at the top of a list of some very talented walleye fishing teams that were all in pursuit of the coveted “WRANGLER RUGGED WEAR” Team of the Year. As the 2013 Illinois division WRANGLER RUGGED WEAR Team of the year, the team has won over $2,500 worth of prizes awarded by Wrangler Rugged Wear, Optima Battery, Kunes County Ford, Boucher Ford and Do-It Molds. Corner Bar Derby NTC Sidepot Results 9-30-13
The Corner Bar Derby had their first NTC Qualifying tournament on Shawano Lake today. John Schneider and Bill Bobber won the event with two fish weighing 3.4 lbs, Aaron and Austin took second with one fish for 2.5 lbs, Matt and Brody took third with one fish for 2.1 lbs.

The Walleye Federation announces the Sturgeon Bay October open on October 5th at Sawyer Park in Sturgeon Bay, WI
The event will be a 1 day (Saturday) event. Tournament boundaries will be limited to Door County (Bay of Green Bay) waters only!
The entry fee will be $200 per team, and will INCLUDE your 2014 TWF Membership paid for BOTH team members ($80.00) !
This event will be limited to the first 90 teams to sign up.
We are limiting field size as this is a one day event and there will NOT be a blow day, so it is remotely possible we would have to limit the fishing waters.
Based on 90 teams, in this TWF Open “sidepot” type of event, the top 6 finishing teams will earn PAID 2014 NTC bids into the 2014 Cabela’s NTC to be held May 2014 on the Bay of Green Bay!
Cash and prizes will be paid to 20% of the field using the TWF sidepot formula of 2 PAID NTC spots for each 30 teams entered. This will be a fun event to close out the 2013 walleye open water tournament season, while paying for their 2014 TWF membership at the same time so they will be ready to fish any 2014 TWF or MWC event!
This will be one event you will not want to miss out on!
