World Walleye Association (WWA) held its second Illinois qualifying tournaments Saturday June 22nd. Tom Ingoglia (Antioch, IL) and Luke Krengiel (Ingleside, IL) took top honors with a six fish limit of 12.87 lbs that included a big fish of 6.06 lbs. This qualifier was also a TWF NTC side pot event where the 3rd place team Ed Klepacki (Wonder Lake, IL) and Jason Ramano took first place in the NTC side pot with their 6 fish limit totaling 11.82 Lbs. In addition to the prize money for 3rd place, the guys, through the NTC side pot, have won a paid entry and are already looking forward to the 2014 NTC tournament on Green Bay. NWA – Big Mac 2013
The 2013 Big Mac tournament was held over Father’s Day Weekend and for as long as I can remember the weather cooperated. The NWA had a 28 boat field both days and launched out of Admiral’s Cove. The rule’s meeting was held at 6 p.m. at the Sand’s Bar and Grill on Friday night.
Day 1, saw for a very slow bite for most, a lot of teams were coming in with 1 and 2 fish. The team of Rossencutter/Rosencutter came in with a very nice 5 fish basket of 17.9 lbs. and their big fish weighed in at a whopping 11.27 lbs. Rounding out the top 4 were the teams of Brandon/Conroy, Johnson/Hiilard, and Steinke/Steinke. The TWF side-pot winner for day 1 was Oliver/Schroeder, with this win the team wins an automatic paid entry into the 2014 NTC, a gas stipend and other contingencies. Continue reading

WWA Announces Rescheduling of Cancelled Wisconsin Qualifier
Hawthorn Woods, IL – June 17, 2013
World Walleye Association (WWA) announces the rescheduling or the previously cancelled April 14th qualifier. The rescheduled event is set for July 21 out of Menominee Park in Oshkosh. This event as well as all WWA Qualifiers will include Walleye Federation, Cabelas NTC qualifying side pots where teams can win their paid entry into the 2014 NTC tournament. The NTC is currently scheduled to be held on Green Bay. Teams fishing the Wisconsin division are also competing for Team Of The Year (TOY) prizes valued at $2,500, as well as a qualifying spot in the WWA Championship. Thirty teams from the IL and WI Divisions will face off in the championship and will compete for cash and sponsor prizes, that include a 10’ Powel Pole Blade and Drift Paddle valued over $2,400, Optima Batteries and other prizes.
