Nebraska Walleye Association Receives Wildlife Education Award

The Nebraska Wildlife Federation (http://nebraskawildlife.org) is a non-profit organization dedicated to environmental education, fish and wildlife conservation, and common sense public policy in Nebraska. This organization brings together people who hike, bike, canoe, hunt, fish, camp, watch and photograph wildlife, and enjoy the outdoors. At their annual Conservation Awards Dinner held on Oct. 13 at Mahoney State Park, NWA was presented a 2011 Wildlife Education Award for the GoFishKids! program. Receiving the award on behalf of NWA were Ray Clayton, Betty Clayton and Rich McShane. It was presented by NWF board member Brian Bashore. NWA was recognized for sponsoring these clinics for more than 20 years, in which thousands of youth across Nebraska have learned how to fish. This award and the others like it are a credit to the many who have kept this program going and growing for so long. To all who have – a great big thank you is in order.
